NAUI/PADI ADVANCED SCUBA DIVER COURSE

Apply your SCUBA skills as you explore new dive sites and activities under the supervision and training of your diving instructor. Learn which diving specialties interest you, and what type of diving you enjoy most. Gain more confidence and capability. Begin to consider the direction diving will take you, as you go for everything it has to offer.
The Advanced SCUBA Diver course is an enjoyable certification course for 10-year-old (or older) certified divers who desire additional training, have moved from one diving area to another and desire local orientation or who desire orientation to a variety of diving sites and conditions.
COSTS:
$150 includes use of rental scuba equipment and instructor fees
$30 for c-card
PREREQUISITES:
1) Minimum age: 15 (10 for Junior certification)
2) Beginning certification or equivalent level of training
COURSE OBJECTIVES: 6 open water dives
1) Review basic scuba skills, safety procedures, equipment, air consumption calculation, dive planning, decision making, etc.
2) Compass and natural navigation
3) Night/limited visibility diving
4) Deeper diving (approximately 60-100 feet)
5) Light salvage using lift bag
6) Introduction to rescue diving
7) *Boat diving techniques
8) *Non-penetration wreck diving
9) *Altitude diving
*Optional depending upon course location and conditions
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1) Complete scuba (cylinder, BC with LP inflator, regulator with alternate air source, SPG and depth gauge)
2) Exposure suit appropriate for environment
3) Weights and weight belt
4) Timing device per team
5) Compass
6) Dive light
7) Slate and pencil
8) Dive tables and logbook
9) Other desirable equipment: knife, Save-a-Dive kit, First aid kit, etc.
