NAUI & TDI ENRICHED AIR NITROX DIVER

Want to extend your bottom time, lessen your surface interval and maximize every dive?  It's easy - become an Enriched Air Nitrox diver!

You will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive.  Your instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing procedures; and more.

COSTS:

$150 includes use of rental equipment and instructor fees
$30 for NAUI or TDI c-cards

PREREQUISITES:
1. Student numbers:  minimum 3, maximum 10
2. Minimum age:  15 years
3. Beginning certification or equivalent

COURSE OBJECTIVES:  4-6 hours of classroom study & 2 dives minimum
1. Develop a working knowledge of the physics and physiology of EANx diving
2. Understand advantages and disadvantages of EANx for use as a breathing gas
3. Designation of equipment for EANx usage
4. Analyzing procedures and labeling of cylinders

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. BC with LP inflator
2. Regulator system with alternate air source, SPG, depth and timing device
3. Appropriate exposure suit and weights for the environment
4. Slate & air dive table
